My main reason for running is my children and the future of all children in British Columbia. I’m deeply concerned about a generation that’s being squeezed out of the housing market, struggling to find stable jobs, and facing the ever-increasing cost of necessities like groceries and rent.
These challenges are not just numbers on a page; they represent real families, real lives, and the future of our communities. We must take bold and decisive action now to protect the next generation and ensure they have the opportunities they deserve.
As a BC Conservative candidate, I bring a unique combination of real-world experience, practical solutions, and a deep commitment to our community. My journey as an entrepreneur and a mother has given me a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges that families face. I know what it’s like to balance the demands of running a business with the responsibilities of raising a family. This perspective shapes my approach to politics—I’m here to fight for policies that make life better for all of us, not just the privileged few.
The North Shore is not just where I live; it’s where I love. The beauty of our community, with its accessibility to the ocean, the mountains, skiing, beaches, and waterfalls, is unparalleled. We are fortunate to live in such a stunning area, where the natural surroundings offer endless opportunities for adventure, relaxation, and connection with nature. This deep appreciation for our environment fuels my commitment to preserving the North Shore’s beauty and ensuring it remains a vibrant and accessible place for all who live here.
Our current government’s policies have led to higher taxes and increased government control, placing an unnecessary burden on families and stifling economic growth. These policies have made it harder for British Columbians to get ahead, and it’s time for a change. The BC Conservative Party believes in common-sense governance that empowers individuals and families, rather than expanding government bureaucracy.
Healthcare is one of the most critical areas that require immediate attention. With a population of 5.4 million, British Columbia has only 3,645 treatment beds available for those struggling with substance use disorders. This is simply not enough. Too many people are being left without the help they desperately need, and the consequences are devastating.
The Conservative Party of BC is committed to expanding access to healthcare, particularly in mental health and addiction services. We aim to increase the number of treatment beds, reduce wait times, and improve overall healthcare accessibility. Every British Columbian deserves timely and effective care, and we will work tirelessly to make that a reality.
In addition to healthcare, my focus is reducing the cost of living, ensuring quality education, and fostering a thriving local economy. These are the foundations of a strong and prosperous community. By addressing these issues with practical, grounded solutions, we can create an environment where every family has the opportunity to thrive.
I urge you to vote for a candidate who understands your challenges, shares your values, and is committed to making our community a better place for everyone. I’m not just another politician; I’m one of you, dedicated to fighting for what truly matters—our families, our future, and our province.
