West Vancouver police is seeking information that could lead them to determine the cause of fire that destroyed the Ambleside Youth Centre.
West Vancouver Police continue working with West Vancouver Fire and Rescue investigators to find out what causes the fire, and are asking the public to come forward with any information that may help.
On March 30 at 10:45 pm, West Vancouver Police responded to a report of a structure fire at 1018 Pound Rd.
Officers provided assistance to West Vancouver Fire and Rescue crews who managed the scene and were able to contain the fire to one building, while protecting the nearby animal shelter.
The cause of the fire remains unknown and investigators work to gather any potential evidence that may lead to a cause.
Anyone with information about the fire or circumstances leading up to it, is asked to contact Cpl. Kellie English of WVPD’s Major Investigations Team at 604-925-7300 and reference police file number 19-3553.
West Vancouver Police continue to maintain scene security of the area until the fire investigation is complete.
