The District of West Vancouver has received a preliminary development application for townhomes in the Rodgers Creek in West Vancouver.
The application is for a 12-unit townhome project at 2833 Chippendale Road.
It is adjacent to an existing town home project, close to the Mulgrave School. The applicant held a public information meeting on December 13.
The site is located with Rodgers Creek Development Area 3, and the project would require an OCP amendment, rezoning and development permits.
This development, however, has nothing do with the recent applications by the British Properties, the district has confirmed.
The property was at one point held by BPP, but it was sold to a private developer. The townhome project is now being developed by Kenstone Properties.
The land was listed for sale at $10,800,000 by Cushman and Wakefield.
The applicant would like to rezone the 31,526 square feet of property to allow 12 terraced townhomes within a three-storey building.
Each of the 1,500 square feet units will have their own private access and garage at ground level. Two one-way driveways that link to the 12 garages will be accessed from Chippendale Road, according to the developer.
This proposal is still in the initial pre-planning stages of the approval process and has not been formally submitted to the District of West Vancouver.
