Summer Day-Use Passes are now available to access Golden Ears, Joffre Lakes, and select trailheads at Garibaldi Provincial Park. Book your pass by visiting the day use pass portal: https://reserve.bcparks.ca/dayuse/. Passes remain available until capacity is met.
Passes must be booked before the trip and are available at 7 am, starting two full days before your intended visit. Beginning June 17, a free day use pass will be required to access the parks.
Additional passes may become available if existing pass holders cancel their passes. Internet connectivity at the park may be limited or unavailable, so make sure to print out or download the pass on your mobile device before you reach the park.
Garibaldi and Joffre Lakes are alpine parks, and BC Parks reminds people that visitors need to be prepared for abnormal spring conditions such as deep snow, high water levels and avalanches. Snowshoes, (or traction aids) and proper footwear are highly recommended.
Expect longer times to reach destinations and always remember BC AdventureSmart‘s 3T’s: trip planning, training and taking the essentials. The day-use pass program is run in collaboration with the Discover Parks Ambassadors who provide visitor outreach and education in a number of parks throughout the summer and will also be checking day use passes in these three parks.
