A serious accident on the Sea to Sky highway near Stawamus Chief in Squamish has left one person hospitalized in serious condition. According to BC Emergency Health Services, the incident happened in the afternoon, and they received a call at 2 p.m. An air ambulance and two ground ambulances were deployed to the accident in Squamish.

The accident, outside the Stawamus Chief parking lot, closed both directions for approximately two hours. Drive BC advised drivers to use alternative routes. The highway has reopened with single-lane alternating traffic between Mamquam Forest Service Rd and the Stawamus Chief parking lot. Expect delays.
