Two suspects were arrested in Deep Cove after North Vancouver RCMP responded to reports of individuals using flashlights to peer into parked vehicles late at night.

Thanks to a vigilant resident who spotted the suspicious activity and alerted authorities, officers could respond quickly and locate the suspects nearby. A subsequent investigation led to the recovery of stolen property, including a wallet containing multiple forms of identification linked to recent vehicle break-ins.
“Thanks to an observant witness and our quick-acting officers, these suspects’ night of prowling was cut short,” North Van RCMP said in a statement. Police are reminding residents to report suspicious behavior and to avoid leaving valuables in vehicles.
