A North Vancouver brewery has won the top prize at the recently concluded BC Beer Awards. The award show took place on November 5.
Wildeye Brewing won the best Czech Pilsner in the International Pale Lager category, which saw as many as 51 entries.
“Congratulations to our whole entire team but especially our brewmaster, Michael Friesen for winning the best Czech Pilsner in BC. Thanks to everyone who has supported our brewery from the beginning & thanks to everyone who supports us now! Wildeye is proud to keep on making delicious brews for our customers,” said the brewery.
The brewmaster, Michael Friesen thanked the entire brewery team for being diligent in every detail of brewing. “It is such an honour to be awarded first place in the Pilsner category at the 2022,” he said.
While thanking customers, Samantha Lindeman, the founder of Wildeye Brewing Company, said the winning Czech Pilsner is complex, yet easy to drink.
“This beer is great for any occasion, any time of year, or any level of beer connoisseur. The Czech Pilsner Lager Yeast produces a clean, crisp beer that’s somewhat dry with a malty finish,” she said.
The awards were presented for over 30 beer categories plus top awards including Best in Show, the *NEW* CBC Judge’s Choice, Rookie of the Year, Brewery of the Year, Innovator of the Year and The Legend Award.
