A North Shore man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual assault, the North Vancouver RCMP announced Thursday.
The investigation began on December 22, 2024, when police received a report alleging that a volleyball coach had sexually assaulted a youth. Following an extensive investigation, officers arrested a 50-year-old man on April 3, 2025. The individual has been released from custody with several court-imposed conditions. He is expected to appear in court later, pending further investigation and charge approval by Crown counsel.
“This is an ongoing, complex investigation involving allegations of sexual assaults that occurred over several years,” said Corporal Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “Our top priority is to speak with anyone who has not yet come forward, to gather all available evidence, and to ensure appropriate support is provided to those affected.”
