Sobeys has issued a new alert for an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at a Safeway store at 780 – 2601 Westview drive in North Vancouver.
The alert was issued today.
The last day the employee worked there was February 26.
On February 26, Sobeys had issued another alert about an employee testing positive for COVID-19 at the Thrifty Foods store in Edgemont.
Sobeys says it will always follow the guidance of Public Health to support workers impacted by COVID-19.
“We will continue to update the COVID-19 tracker to be transparent with you where we have been notified of cases of COVID-19 in our stores,” Sobeys says.
“Out of respect for our teammates and their confidentiality, we will never release any personal information about our people. We will always do everything we can to support our teammates and ensure their safety.”
Sobeys and Loblaws are two major chains that regularly post COVID-19 updates for stores across the country.
On Feb.28, Loblaws had also issued a notification about an employee testing positive at the Loblaws City Market at 1650 Lonsdale Avenue.
