Update: Missing North Vancouver man has been found dead, police have now confirmed.

North Vancouver RCMP are continuing to search for missing North Vancouver man David Andrew McLean and have renewed their plea for public assistance in locating the 50-year-old who has been missing since October 9.
Investigators have reviewed extensive video footage and have confirmed that he was last seen in the 5600 block of Kingsway Avenue in Burnaby, on October 9 at 4:21 p.m. He was last seen leaving the area in a 2001 Blue Volkswagen Golf.
“Our Investigative Support Team has now taken conduct of this file,” said Cst. Mansoor Sahak of the North Vancouver RCMP. “We are concerned for his wellbeing and are eager to locate him. There is no indication at this time that foul play is involved in his disappearance.”
In an effort further the investigation, investigators are releasing images of McLean’s vehicle in hopes that someone may recognize it and call police.
Description of vehicle:
- 2001 Blue Volkswagen Golf
- Bearing British Columbia plate 876EHJ
- Silver roof racks with aluminum/grey bars on top
- Black connecting points
- Billabong sticker on left back passenger window
- Black Hawaiian turtle sticker on rear window.
David is described as a Cauasian male, 50-years-old, 180 cms. He weighs 82 kgs, has green eyes and was last seen wearing army green jacket with black shirt.
