Heavy snowfall continues to impact the North Shore, forcing road closures, delaying transit, and making travel hazardous. The District of North Vancouver (DNV) urges residents to stay off the roads and only travel if necessary.
DNV crews are working to clear Priority 1 routes, but snowplows are struggling to access some areas due to vehicles getting stuck. As a result, 29th Street East has been closed, and other roads remain treacherous. In West Vancouver, 22nd Street is also shut down, with officers reporting continued heavy snowfall in some neighbourhoods.
TransLink has suspended bus service north of Queens Road in upper areas of the District and is reporting system-wide delays. Riders are advised to check TransLink’s Alerts page for updates. Due to unsafe conditions, Lynn Canyon Park and Fromme Mountain are closed for the day. Officials are reminding residents to help with snow management by keeping sidewalks, footpaths, and fire hydrants clear, parking in driveways rather than on streets, and checking in on neighbors who may need assistance.
