Locals can enjoy a ride on a 65-foot Ferris wheel at the Park Royal Mall in West Vancouver this Friday as part of ‘Light Up The Village’, a free event that features food trucks, music, holiday dancing and other fun activities for the entire family.
“Enjoy treats from our retailers, food trucks, amazing live music, holiday dancing, face painting, balloon twisting, axe throwing, a visit with Santa and many more seasonal activities including the lighting of the Village,” according to Park Royal.
The Ferris wheel rides are by $5 in donation and other activities can be enjoyed with a $2 donation to the Lions Gate Hospital.
Countdown to lighting and the arrival of Santa is at 6:45 pm sharp. Santa Set opens at 7:15 pm in the South Simons Wing.
The pet photo with Santa is scheduled for November 27, from 11 am to 2 pm, and then 3 pm to 5 pm at the Park Royal South Simons wing.
Chatime, Dairy Queen/Orange Julius, Freshii, Lindt, Scholars, Skoah, Starbucks, Tesla, Trattoria, Whole Foods and other Park Royal retailers will be there.
Locals can also enjoy delicacies from food trucks such as Chick Pea, Japadog, Mr. Bannock, Potato Tornado, Tacofino, The Praguery and Triple O’s.
West Vancouver police officers will also be participating in this year’s Park Royal Light Up the Village and Santa’s Arrival event. On Friday, November 22nd from 5-9 pm, police officers and other community partners will take part in the annual lighting of the holiday lights at the Village at Park Royal.
Park Royal said 100 per cent of all proceeds collected go directly to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.
