A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Amber Jenelle Toews, 35, from Edmonton, following an alleged road rage assault that left two young adults seriously injured in Mission on September 8.
Police had previously released images of the two suspects to aid their search.
Investigators have since identified the male suspect as 38-year-old Johnathan Hebrada-Walters from the Edmonton area. Hebrada-Walters was found dead in Langley on September 21, with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team linking his homicide to the BC Gang Conflict. However, they clarified there is no connection between his death and the road rage incident.
Toews now faces charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and mischief under $5,000. Mission RCMP, in collaboration with Alberta law enforcement, is actively working to locate her. Police note that Toews is known to travel throughout BC and other western provinces, and it is unclear if she has returned to Alberta.
