A resident of the Haro Park Centre, an assisted living facility in Vancouver, was diagnosed with COVID-19. The resident is in isolation and receiving care, according to Vancouver Coastal Health.
Haro Park Centre provides independent housing, assisted living and residential care. VCH has placed outbreak control measures in place at Haro Park Centre.
VCH is also working with the staff at Haro Park Centre to identify anyone who may have been exposed and is taking steps to protect the health of all residents and staff.
Vancouver Coastal Health is also providing infection control support to Haro Park Centre.
Residents are being closely monitored for symptoms and standard infection control measures are effective in protecting staff from infection.
Visitor access restrictions are also in place, and only family or caregivers making compassionate visits will be permitted to visit residents.
