Police officers from North Vancouver RCMP and West Vancouver Police Department will be out in full force today as ICBC launches its distracted driving campaign. Please remember to stay off your phone and keep your eyes on the road, police cautions in a tweet.
Today, ICBC will kick-off the provincial distracted driving campaign in North Vancouver with a large-scale joint force operation event with BC Highway Patrol, North Vancouver RCMP, West Vancouver Police, Integrated Road Safety Unit, and Transit Police.
An officer will be wearing a microphone and watching for distracted drivers from an overpass, and officers down the road will ticket distracted drivers.
