The North Shore Daily Post is an independent source of local news and opinion. It covers communities of North Vancouver and West Vancouver in British Columbia.
Gagandeep Ghuman is the editor of the North Shore Daily Post. He graduated from the School of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in Toronto in 2008. He interned at the Toronto Star and Guelph Mercury. Before launching an independent newspaper in Squamish, he worked briefly at Parksville Qualicum Beach News and Squamish Chief.
As a freelancer, his bylines have appeared in Pique Newsmagazine, Tyee, Vancouver Sun and Globe and Mail. He also runs a news portal for Whistler. He has been shortlisted for his investigative stories on Squamish by the Canadian Association of Journalists in 2010, 2011, and 2015 for their annual awards. In 2013, he was also honoured by the Ryerson Journalism Alumni Association as a Headliner — one among the 12 notable alumni who had made a mark in journalism.
