An 88-year-old woman living in a fifth floor apartment in the West End in Vancouver was injured by fireworks.
VPD said the woman was abruptly awakened last night when something came through her window and hit her on the head.
She called the police, who came and saw that the woman had a large burn on the top of her head.
There were two holes in her living room window, and glass and cardboard fragments all over the floor, which the officers determined was the remnants of a firework.
A pedestrian out walking flagged down the officers and told them she had seen the suspects who set off the firework headed west on Comox Street.
Despite an extensive area search, the suspects could not be located.
