Lions Gate Hospital is in the process of upgrading the emergency department triage area, and there are some traffic impacts because of construction.
If you’re visiting the emergency department, here’s what you need to know:
During construction, the 14th Street entrance to the emergency department will be temporarily closed and all incoming patients will be redirected to the ambulance bay entrance.
The vehicle drop-off area will remain the same and there will be signage directing people from the drop-off area to the ambulance bay entrance.
For those coming to the hospital for non-emergent reasons, please use the 15th Street entrance, which will be open from 5 am to 11 pm. However, anyone coming to the hospital in afterhours will be permitted to use the ambulance bay entrance.
